![]() And then when Claire and Alex talk about it a little more in the car, the conversation is again mainly focused on Claire’s feelings. Like when Alex tells Claire that he’s gay, it shows her running to her mom and crying and doesn’t really show Alex’s reaction and how he really feels about coming out to her (which in my experience can be pretty emotional). The main focus of the movie is on Claire and Alex’s relationship (which is fine, movies about friendship are great) but I just felt like it should’ve shown more of Alex’s POV. Honestly, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I just watched it again today after a year of settling into the LGBTQ community. ![]() I first accepted that I was bi about a year ago, and during that awkward fresh-baby-gay period I watched Alex Strangelove and I really liked it.
